Rebecca’s Training

Equestrian Training

Dressage training stints in Europe have allowed her to train under the tutelage of Christopher Bartle, UK (sixth dressage, Atlanta Olympics 1996; winner of Badminton 1998; team trainer of the Olympic gold winning German Event Team)

Baron Von  Blixen-Finecke, UK (Olympic gold medalist; Swedish cavalry officer; trainer of Christopher Bartle)

Rudolph Zeilinger, GER (protege of the late, great Willi Schultheis; trainer of the Danish Olympic Dressage Team)

Wolfram Wittig, GER (previous trainer to Olympic gold medalist, Isabell Werth; rider of Breitling).

She has also worked with three times Olympic gold medalist Anky van Grunsvan at her yard in The Netherlands

Has trained at the private stables of Hans Riegler, head trainer of The Spanish Riding School in Vienna, which allowed her great insight, contact and training with the riders of the famous school.

More recently, while based in the UK, Rebecca trained with Olympian and 18 times UK national champion Vicki Thompson-Winfield. Vicki is widely known for her successful training partnership with the legendary Franz (Rocky) Rochowansky, head trainer of the Spanish Riding School. She currently trains with Jo Hinnemann.

Rebecca recently spent time in Holland with Olympic silver medalist Adelinde Cornelissen, investigating her rider fitness programme.

During her time in Europe, Rebecca has also been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time at the international competitions and attending the clinics of Kyra Kyrklund, Herwig Radnetter, Hubertus Schmidt, Jo Hinnemann and Christoph Hess.

Pilates Training

This training method has been a big part of Rebecca’s life for almost 20 years. She initially began lessons to improve her riding and has never looked back. She was so impressed with the system in fact, that she trained as an instructor in the UK with Pilates Training Solutions.

She has also undertaken courses with globally respected Body Control Pilates as well as Polestar and is qualified to teach both mat and equipment. Rebecca has trained everyone from people just starting exercise, those rehabilitating from injury, long distance swimmers, footballers, break dancers and international dressage competitors and eventers.

Rebecca has also trained as a level 3 Oov practitioner and has been a key note speaker at equitation conferences in Australia and Internationally.
